The DPK APDESI (Association of Indonesian Village Governments) of Malangbong District, Garut Regency, officially held its inauguration at the Malangbong District Office Hall on Friday, January 31, 2025. Jafar Sidik, the Head of Cikarang Village, was unanimously elected to lead the organization by 22 village heads in Malangbong District.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Malangbong District Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam), the Chairman of DPK APDESI Garut Regency along with the board members, representatives of nearby district DPK APDESI branches, and local community organizations.
In his inaugural speech, Jafar Sidik encouraged all village heads in Malangbong to strengthen their unity and synergy with all organizations within the district. He emphasized that collaboration is key to driving progress and ensuring the welfare of residents in every village.
Furthermore, Jafar Sidik called on Forkopimcam to provide guidance and support in improving the performance of village heads. With humility and an open heart, he also sought advice from senior village heads, including Dadi Adiwinata (Lewo Baru Village Head) and Aten Sulaiman (Sukamanah Village Head).
"May we always work together in unity and harmony for the progress and prosperity of Malangbong," Jafar Sidik concluded.
